Collection relates to the London Borough of Havering and includes books, maps, illustrations and other material about the modern towns of Hornchurch, Romford and Upminster as well as the historic villages of Havering-atte-Bower and Rainham. Local Authority minutes from 1851 to the present. Rate Books, particularly for the Romford district, from 1839 to the creation of the London Borough of Havering in 1965.Material is of use for research in family history.,
