Like A Book with a View for grown ups, nature and the environment are the inspiration for The Big Wild Read for children.
The Big Wild Read in London runs from July to September 2007 and is free and open to all children aged 4 to 11. You are challenged to read six or more books from your library over the summer. You will receive a folder to record the books you have read and there are wildflower seeds and other goodies to collect.
If you complete the challenge (by reading six or more books) you will receive a special certificate and medal.
In taking part in The Big Wild Read in London you are also helping us reach the national target of a million children planting trees by reading books and earning 'tree tokens', to plant 20,000 new trees for regional UK woods.
