Photography Competition
Book with a View Photography Competition terms and conditions
- The exhibition is organised by the London Libraries Development Agency.
- By entering your photograph (one photograph per person) to the "London Libraries Recommend..." Flickr group, you declare to the London Libraries Development Agency that the photograph was taken by you and is your own original work which will not infringe the copyright or any other rights of a third party.
- Entrants must ensure that any third party copyrighted material contained in a photograph has already been cleared with the copyright holder.
- All photographs submitted on the "London Libraries Recommend..." Flickr group may be displayed on London Libraries’ website and photographs may be used in online and offline material to promote Book with a View and other London libraries reading promotions. All entrants give the London Libraries Development Agency a non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty free, irrevocable licence to use their photographs in perpetuity for such purpose.
- All images must be a minimum of 500kb in size.
- Photographs must not contain obscene or defamatory content or material.
- For your photograph to be short-listed, it must be tagged with one of the themes ("London landmark", "London landscape" or "Book with a View") and with a descriptive caption and your details as outlined on the Book with a View photo competition page.
- In the event that your photograph entered on the "London Libraries Recommend..." Flickr Group is short-listed as part of the competition, you give the London Libraries Development Agency a non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty free, irrevocable licence to use your photograph for the following purposes:
- Your photograph may be displayed on London Libraries website, the LLDA’s website as part of Book with A view or for other promotional purposes
- Your photograph may be archived in perpetuity on London Libraries as part of the Book with A View website.
- You give London Libraries Development Agency permission to download the high-resolution version of your photograph for the purposes of archiving the final selection of images.
- London Libraries shall not be obliged to display photographs and shall not be liable for any entrant’s loss of publicity or enhancement of reputation.
- London Libraries Development Agency reserves the right to cancel the exhibition if deemed necessary at any stage.
- We are unable to reply to Flickr Mail messages. If you wish to contact London Libraries, please do so through our contact page.
- In the event that your photograph is chosen for display on London Libraries website, it will be shown with your Flickr screen name and the title of the image.
- In the event that your photograph is selected to be included in the final 10, we will contact you through Flickr Mail and you will be given the opportunity to choose to have your real name included in place of your screen name. If you do not respond to this email, London Libraries will be obliged to use your Flickr screen name.
- Any personal information of entrants will only be used and, where necessary, disclosed to third parties, for the purposes of running the competition.
- By entering your photograph to the "London Libraries Recommend..." Flickr group you are deemed to have accepted the above terms and conditions.
- Entrants must be aged 16 or over
